Sino-US Program’s Commencement Ceremony Held

  On 3rd June, the commencement for 2017 class of Sino-US jointly-run program of International Business Management was held in Hexi Campus. Prof. Jorge L. Díaz-Herrera, president of Keuka College, Mr. Joseph R. Hwang, Administrative Chancellor for China Campuses, Keuka College, and Li Zhanyong, vice president of TUST, as well as graduating students of the program and their family members attended the event. The ceremony was presided over by Xiong Congcong, dean of International College.

  The ceremony raised the curtain following the conclusion of national anthems of China and US. Li Zhanyong, delivered a commencement speech to express heartfelt thanks to the faculties, who had made great efforts to push the program, and to highly appreciate the remarkable achievements made by the graduating students. In the speech, Li Zhanyong also raised the expectations for the graduating students to carry on spreading the TUST motto and turn themselves into outstanding alumni. Later, on behalf of Keuka College, Prof. Jorge L. Díaz-Herrera praised the results achieved by the graduating students, and thanked the counterparts of TUST for their longstanding support and help. Zhang Jinghan and Ma Wentao, on behalf of the graduating students, respectively addressed the commencement by both Chinese and English, retrospecting their four years’ campus life and expressing gratitude and sending best wishes to professors, parents and classmates.

  Following the ceremony, degree granting was conduct. Prof. Jorge L. Díaz-Herrera and Prof. Li Zhanyong, as well as Mr. Joseph R. Hwang tasseled and awarded both degrees.
