TUST Students Got Second Prize in the National College Students Integrated Circuit Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

August 19-21, the eighth National College Students' Integrated Circuit Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition National Finals was held in Yantai, Shandong Province. It was organized by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and co-organized by Yantai Research Institute of Harbin Engineering University. The team "Carving Silicon" from College of Chemical Engineering and Materials of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, led by Zhang Qinghe, an undergraduate student, won the second prize at the finals, Yu Xiaoliang, supervisor of the team, wasrecognized as an outstanding supervisor.

The competition launched in January 2024 and was divided into 4 major tracks, 13 technical directions, and 22 cup events. More than 5,600 teams from over 430 universitiesregistered for the competition.The teams were separated into seven regional divisions: Southwest, North China, Northeast, Central China, East China, South China, and Northwest. TUST team won first place in the North China division. Only four teams from the North China division made to the finals.
