On the morning of June 24th, the national sci-tech conference, the national science and technology award conference, and the general assemblies of the members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) were grandly held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The results of the selection of the 2023 state Top Science and Technology Award, the State Natural Science Award, the State Technological Invention Award, the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award were announced. A total of 250 projects and 12 scientific and technological experts were presented for the 2023 National Science and Technology Awards. The project "Green and Efficient Manufacturing Technology and Application of Polymer Melt Nanofibers" of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, won the second prize of the State Technological Invention Award. Professor Cheng Bowen, as the leading researcher and award-winning representative, attended the awards conference. This is a significant breakthrough of Tianjin University of Science and Technology in national science and technology awards in recent years.
This project mainly focuses on the world problem and research focus of the "zero-solvent" melt nanofiber green manufacturing industrialization technology. After twenty years of scientific and technological research by the project team, through multidisciplinary intersection and collaborative innovation of industry-university-research, a new principle and new method of polymer melt differential electrospinning was first created. Furthermore, key technologies such as multi-field coupled fiber refinement, heterogeneous melt micro-nanofiber thickness alternation, dynamic electric field uniform film formation, and high-voltage electrostatic spray spinning were invented. A series of world problems in the efficient and green manufacturing of polymer nanofibers were overcome, and the industrialization of the green manufacturing technology and equipment of polymer melt nanofibers was achieved. The project products have created significant economic and social benefits in applications such as haze prevention and epidemic resistance, aerospace, energy and environmental protection, and biomedicine. The technological invention achievements have great application and development potential in the fields of efficient and green manufacturing of chemical fibers and high-end textiles, and it is a landmark achievement from "Made in China" to "Created in China".
