On 20 April, Prof. Valentina Ivanova,Rector of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management, Prof. Viktor Fersht, Special adviser to the Rector, and Prof. Natalya Vasilevich, Director of the Food School of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management, visited our university and discussed the establishment of the Sino-Russian Food Institute between two universities. Prof. Han Jinyu, president of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, met with the Russian guests. The heads of College of Food Science and Biotechnology and of International Exchange Office attended the meeting.
Professor Han Jinyu said that the joint establishment of the Sino-Russian Food Institute will be another major progress in cooperation between two universities. This will serve as an opportunity to comprehensively lead the two sides to cooperate in scientific research and education. It will promote the exchanges of teachers and students and cooperation in other fields. President Ivanova introduced the Moscow State University of Technology and Management from the aspects of education, teaching, scientific research, international exchanges, etc. She said that the main purpose of the delegation's visit was to promote the implementation plan of the Sino-Russian food institute and discuss the academic plan and the project of students exchange. She hoped to promote the project smoothly.
After the meeting, President Han Jinyu and President Ivanova held the agreements exchange ceremony. Both sides agreed that the ties between China and Russia are getting closer and and the two universities will continue to deepen cooperation in accordance with this platform.
On April 21, under the entrustment of President Ivanova, Professor Victor Fersht visited the College of Food Science and Biotechnology. He discussed implementation for the establishment of the Sino-Russian Food Institute.
